I haven't had many boring days since arriving, to be quite honest. But yes. I'd wondered how long it'd be, but I was still startled.

Will the two of you fall into each other's confidence, or fight terribly? I wonder . . .

I'm making a noble attempt to head off the latter possibility.

I don't exactly want to trust another me. I do know myself. But because I know myself, I know that if we were to see one another as enemies, we'd only make trouble for everyone else. And I do like trouble, but... only the right kind of trouble.
